Before Gen Con back in 2014 I remember introducing my wife to The Gamers. I’d seen the Kickstarters run for the series and even looked into the game that AEG created for The Gamers: Hands of Fate, so I’d known about the group for some time. I remember watching the films with my wife, waiting to see if she had the same excitement I had when seeing these actors become characters in their own tabletop RPG, and I was pleased to hear she enjoyed it. For those that don’t know, The Gamers is a production put on by Zombie Orpheus, and so far the production has spanned three different movies: The Gamers, The Gamers: Dorkness Rising, and The Gamers: Hands of Fate. Not only am I a fan of the films, but I share this passion with Benjamin Loomes, the creator of Syrinscape.
Syrinscape, the app that brings music, sounds, and more to your tabletop RPG games, has just announced two different SoundPacks that will bring the adventures of The Gamers right to your table. First we have the Zombie Orpheus: Mask of Death SoundPack, which allows players to dive into a Pathfinder RPG adventure pulled straight from The Gamers: Dorkness Rising. The SoundPack includes the official music soundtrack and one-shots from the movie, trigger-able lines from its numerous villains – “You are not welcome here!,” “Death is a natural thing,” “Come, come to Drazuu!,” “Gobble gobble!” – as well as holy church music, a huge battle with a sentient tree, an ooze demon, an undead chicken one-shot and more.
The second SoundPack, Zombie Orpheus: Shadow’s Dungeon, gives players the opportunity to uncover a secret about the world as they learn whom the Shadow is targeting with his devious plan. This SoundPack is based on the Shadow’s Dungeon module that the players were going through, bridging the gap between The Gamers: Dorkness Rising and The Gamers: Hands of Fate. The SoundPack includes the film’s official music soundtrack and NPC one-shots by actor Brian S. Lewis, as well as a waterfall cave, barghests and guns, a shadow mastiff battle, a boss battle with The Shadow and more.
Each of the SoundPacks is $9.99, but you can also get them as part of the SuperSyrin Subscription, which nets you all of the SoundPacks for $10 per month. Syrinscape will open up your RPG sessions with sounds that will immerse your players in the worlds you’ve created. Ever moreso, they provide great ambient music and sounds to keep players in the mindset to play. Check out both of these new SoundPacks and get your adventure on with The Gamers!
