One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

We’re Back! An Update on All Things I:T

Initiative : Tabletop New Logo

It’s been quite some time since we’ve been able to update regularly. In fact, it’s been some time since we’ve been able to post just about anything. As many of you know we decided to move the I:T office out to Texas back in 2014, and if you’ve been following us you’ll have seen our progress. While there were more conventions and events out in the Lonestar State, it ended up just not being what we needed at the time. Over time things ended up getting complicated and we decided it would be best to bring things back to where it all started – Bloomington Indiana.

With Gen Con only being about an hour away, Indy Pop Con gaining speed, and more events cropping up each year, the decision to move back to our original location was looking better and better. We knew it would be a journey, but in the end we needed to do what was best for us, the company, and especially you – the readers. In February of this year we enacted our plans and set out on the long road back to Indiana.

After a couple of months we’re certainly happy to announce that we’re back! We definitely had a couple of hiccups along the way, but we’re rooted back in our haven of Bloomington, Indiana, right in time for Gen Con 2016! We’ve been a bit down and out as a result of an automobile accident, but that’s thankfully been resolved and we’re getting things back to normal.

I’m happy to say that the I:T office is back up and running, and we’ll be working to get back to posting content as regularly as possible. We’ve got plenty of reviews headed your way, including some new products from some of our favorite companies. We’re safe and sound in a new location and we’ve got an entire floor dedicated to our games and our work.

As always, we want to thank all of you for sticking with us through these times. We’re happy to get back to doing what we love. Keep your eyes peeled right here for some great upcoming content! Until next time, happy gaming!
