Obsidian’s Pathfinder Adventures App Launches March 29th

The moment Paizo fans have been waiting for…Obsidian has FINALLY announced a release date for Pathfinder Adventures! This mobile game app is based off of Paizo’s popular Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, and is set for release on both iPad and Android tablets on March 29th. Other formats will follow soon after.

Pathfinder Adventures gives players the flexibility of solo and multiplayer modes, bringing the popular RPG-turned-card game into a version you can take with you anywhere. Collect items and companions, and level up your character as you traverse the Rise of the Runelords adventure. The adventure will be completed with a purchase of the final leg of the storyline, and Obsidian aims to impress all that have been waiting.

“Obsidian has a history of working with deep, richly-textured fantasy worlds, from Star Wars to Fallout. We’re thrilled to play in Paizo’s sandbox and adapt it for both the fan of the tabletop game and a brand new audience of digital gamers,” said CEO Feargus Urquhart. “It’s fitting that we will start with the first Pathfinder adventure ever written, the classic and well-loved Rise of the Runelords.”

The game will be single player or pass-and-play for a little while, with online multiplayer capabilities coming later down the road. The free game download will come with the first adventure, Perils of the Lost Coast, with other adventures available to purchase at that time. With more adventure paths being developed, it is a game that will never play the same twice. For more information on Pathfinder Adventures, please check out the game website.
