Last week, Gen Con made the announcement that they have moved forward with plans to expand the convention by pushing beyond the convention center and moving True Dungeon into the Lucas Oil Stadium. Previously held in one of the large exhibit halls in the convention center, True Dungeon will now have access to stadium and have more room to give gamers and adventurers a real dungeoneering experience! Jeff Martin, head of True Dungeon, had this to say about the expansion:
“We are very excited to offer an improved coaching and adventure experience with our new location,”
More events will also be held in Lucas Oil, but those have yet to be announced so keep your eyes on the Gen Con website for that. With True Dungeon moving next door, that opens up a lot more floor space for gaming and events inside the convention hall as well. With each year continuously breaking attendance records, this ought to mean great things for attendees.
Having experienced True Dungeon for ourselves, we can say that we’re pretty excited to see what they will do with a much larger space. They’ve already done fantastic things in the space they were given and I can only see guests being blown away with this new expansion. Be sure to follow up with the Gen Con and True Dungeon sites for information on what you expect to see this next year, and we hope to see you there!
