Calliope Games Acquires 12 Days

12 Days Box

In 2012, Gamesmith launched a Kickstarter to fund a Christmas card game of trick-taking called 12 Days. It successfully funded, and has even been featured on TableTop. Lone Shark Games has also handled 12 Days until the recent hand-over to Calliope.

For those that are unfamiliar with it, 12 Days is a twist on the gifts from the Twelve Days of Christmas song in which players bid for cards, and collects points based on card rarity, and the player with the highest score at the end wins. In line with the song there are 5 golden ring cards, 4 calling bird cards, etc.

Shortly after Thanksgiving, Calliope Games will have 12 Days in stores, just in time for the holidays. Upon acquisition, upgrades to the game will include a sturdier box and more streamlined rules for easy play. 12 Days has been given fantastic reviews and make gaming around the holidays a delight by giving the old song a beautifully modern twist. Look for it in stores and add some extra gifts to your loved ones’ holidays!
