One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Dog Might Games Teams Up With Artist Nolan Nasser for Special Kickstarter

Dog Might Nolan Nasser Dice Tower

Our friends over at Dog Might are back at it again putting the grunt work, man hours, and pools of sweat into another awesome project. They’ve partnered with respected landscape artist Nolan Nasser in a new Kickstarter campaign that’s already hit well above its mark. The project? It’s a jumpstart for Nolan to break out into other types of imagery where his effective skills can be put at the forefront of his work. To help with the project, Nolan teamed up with Dog Might to create a custom-designed wooden dice tower (pictured above) that you can only get through this campaign.

Nolan Nasser has been pouring his heart and soul into his artwork since an early age, though it was really only in the last couple of years he’s been serious about the digital side of things. He’s been able to turn his passion into a career, and has been making a living recently by doing freelance artistry for various companies. Though he’s been well-known for his landscape work (seriously, Nasser has some mad skills) he is looking to branch out and make his landscape pieces become background to beautiful and interesting characters, universes, and much more.

Nolan Nasser playmats

The Kickstarter campaign is to help Nasser push forward with his individual artwork, which means taking on less and less paying freelance gigs. Through the campaign you can pick up art prints, sweet gaming playmats, mouse pads, canvas prints, and did I mention sweet gaming playmats? This is also the only way you can pick up this custom dice tower, and if the above image hasn’t got you reaching for your wallet, head over to the Kickstarter to see more. A pledge of $150 gets you the dice tower, and you can grab a playmat for just $30. Make sure you don’t miss out on the campaign, because the artwork is fantastic!
