What We’re Playing

  • One of our new writers, Angela, came down this weekend, and we got some I:T gaming in! You’ll notice her posts becoming more frequent, and we think you’ll enjoy the reviews she’ll be posting in the months to come!
  • We played Dead of Winter as a 3 player game last weekend. It was one of our best games as we had really good rolls and the game went rather quickly. We didn’t lose many survivors and were able to keep up with the food tokens and moral throughout the game. It did come down to the last round to secure the objective, though!
  • A game we’ve had our eyes on for a while that finally came into our possession hit the table this week: D&D Attack Wing! I’m a big fan of dragons. I know that it is similar to other miniatures games, but it is true that theme really can have an impact on whether an individual wants to play or not. I just wanted to fight with dragons, not ships!
What's up, Balagos?

What’s up, Balagos?

  • Finally got Chimera to the table as well, and after some rule clarification by talking with the designer, got through a long game. I’m really enjoying it and will likely pull it out any chance I get to sit down with 2 other gamers.

We’ve got more reviews coming for you next week including King’s Forge, some special dice, and previews for some other things we think you’re going to like. The weather is getting nicer which will draw people outside, so make sure you get some sunshine and fresh air! Until next week, happy gaming!
