  • Fantasy Flight Games also posted previews for the upcoming LotR LCG pack as well as a preview for the next Call of Cthulhu pack.
  • Some folks raised concern over Exploding Kittens and how much money was actually made. A post on Polygon was deemed not credible a large portion of the gaming community, but this post at The Geek Dynasty has been more accepted.
  • A nifty Year One Ascension Collector’s Box is available for purchase for a limited time. Includes hard-to-find promo cards!

What We’re Playing

  • We picked up Z-MAN Games’ Walking Dead board game and have played it a few times this week. The game is pretty hard, considering how easily walkers pop up around you. I lost our first game by a landslide, then won the second – also by a landslide. The game has plenty of room for variation. If you’re not a fan of dice-rolling games, you may see it as too random and left to chance…but so is wandering a world of walkers.
  • Played some Warmachine: HIGH COMMAND this week as well. I really like how the expansion packs add to the game, and think they are pretty necessary for the custom feel of the game.

We hope that everyone has stayed safe this week as the weather seems to have hit the country in some strange places. We even had about an inch of snow here in Texas! Everything shut down, and it was crazy. Ah well, just roll with the punches, and play board games inside! Until next week, stay safe and happy gaming!
