Mantic Games’ Kings of War On Kickstarter – 2nd Edition

kingsofwar

Kings of War, a fantasy battle game by Mantic Games is on Kickstarter to print its second edition, and it comes with some impressive features! Two players go head to head in battle wielding great armies, and with newly updated rules, new army lists, and more background information in the factions, there is truly a big world to explore in Kings of War. The demand for the game drove Mantic Games to look at a second edition, and decided if they were to go for it, they’d go all the way.

This Kickstarter project will produce the 2nd edition rulebook for this fast paced miniatures game and allow backers to select a soft or hardcover book, 2 starter armies, a large army, or giant army lists. If you and a buddy like what you see from this project, or perhaps have experience with the first edition and are among the fans who demanded more from the game, could both pledge to have some epic battles. I’m really liking the look of the Basilean army, even though I often lean towards armies more like the undead.

Kings of War will end its Kickstarter on December 1st, and is well past its funding goal, but the further they go, the better the rewards will be for the backers. Check out the various pledge levels and choose your armies! This is a great opportunity to take advantage of a game company listening to the fans and producing what they want, and the current pledge level really speaks loudly to how they’ve responded to Mantic’s efforts. We’re excited to see where this project ends and to see the armies on tables of home game rooms and game stores alike.
