One of our favorite digital games here at I:T is SolForge. It’s a game that’s picked up a lot of players since its original release. The guys at Stone Blade Entertainment are a friendly group, and they’re working hard to make keep SolForge at the forefront of digital tabletop gaming. In fact, they’ve just shared with us some news about a brand new upcoming feature to the game that will no doubt shake up the playing field: Sharing.
“What is Sharing,” you ask? Well, let me enlighten you! Sharing is SolForge’s way of highlighting the excitement of trading cards and purchasing new cards with Gold from the in-game store. What Sharing allows you to do is, help trade powerful cards and engage in social activities with other players all while keeping the cards you don’t want to get rid of. Here’s the basic breakdown:
· Most cards purchased with in-game gold will be Sharable
· You can send any Sharable cards to any friend in your friends list
· Your friend receives those cards the next time they go to their home screen.
· Each card may only be Shared once.
· You keep the cards you Shared
With this new feature, pretty much every card you purchase using Gold will be Shareable – it’ll essentially be two cards in one: one for you and one for someone on your friends list. This allows players to pool their resources together and share their collection back and forth. With this new feature veteran players can also help newer players get into the game by helping them create a powerful collection right from the get-go. Here’s a quick peek at how Sharing will look:
Each card can only be shared once, so you’ll need to choose wisely. You will be able to use the Collection (formerly known as Deck Builder) to easily add whatever cards you want to a Share list that you can then send to a friend on your list. The cards will then be shared with that friend, who will receive a copy of each card into their own Collection. It’s like magic in the land of SolForge!
This new feature should be hitting sometime in the middle of this month, complete with a new set of sixty cards called “Imprisoned Heralds”. It’s like Christmas is coming early in SolForge! If you haven’t gotten into this game yet, now is certainly the time, so go check it out!
