Introducing Hex Chests by Elder Wood, Now on Kickstarter

Hex Chest Elder Wood Kickstarter

If you haven’t been able to tell yet, we’re pretty big fans of custom-made gaming accessories. In fact, we just reviewed the new Dice Chest from Dog Might Games, which is a great example of the sort of custom-made things we love to see incorporated with tabletop gaming. Today I’m excited to talk about the Hex Chest, another elegant way to store your dice for gaming.

The Hex Chest is a custom-made wooden dice box meant to carry one set of dice elegantly or a handful of dice in a compact space. Created by the team at Elder Wood, the Hex Chest is being funded via Kickstarter, and the campaign is already more than funded. The guys behind Elder Wood, Quentin and Dan, started making these chests for gifts that their friends could use for storing their RPG dice. Once Quentin’s girlfriend got a photo of the chests to Reddit, the internet went wild with “TAKE MY MONEY” mentality and started begging for more. The duo decided to put their best foot forward and worked together to find a way to bring the Hex Chest to the masses, which they’re doing through Kickstarter.

With pledges guaranteeing Hex Chest delivery by the holidays, these great storage boxes make great gift ideas for the gamer on your list. You can choose to get everything from a normal wooden Hex Chest all the way up to a custom-engraved box complete with a honeycomb design that keeps your dice nice and compact, all the while looking completely badass. The campaign still has around a dozen days to go, so if you’re looking to get in on this deal you’d better head over and post a pledge. I know I’m down to grab one of these chests, and I’m totally going to get some sweet Celtic design carved in to really make it awesome!
