The monthly Z-Man newsletter has just gone out and it details the company’s plans for the month of October. This month we’ll see a brand new game release while many more will be premiering at Essen across the pond. Essen is always a great event, and this year the company has more games than ever to show off for attendees.
First off, the Pandemic: Survival schedule is filling crazy fast. Z-Man already has around 10 events planned for the 2014-2015 year and more are in the planning stages. Pandemic: Survival is a head-to-head version of the original Pandemic where teams of two compete to see which is the best at eradicating the diseases plaguing the world. At the end one team will stand as champions and win some sweet loot.
Tragedy Looper and Chinatown have just recently released, and should now be on store shelves.
Tragedy Looper is a semi-cooperative board game where players go up against a mastermind that is trying to make certain events happen. Players have the ability to travel back in time to try and discern the mastermind’s plans and foil them before he can set them off. This creates “loops” which the players only have a limited amount to try and ensure they stay alive and prevent the mastermind from reaching his goal.
In Chinatown you play as a Chinese immigrant who has just made it to the growing Chinatown area of New York. With all your savings in hand you’ll work to create businesses and help Chinatown grow even more! You’ll have to manage your assets correctly, however, for your fellow players could easily send you under the table!
On October 8th Camel Up will be available both in stores and online. Witness the craziest camel race ever heard of as you compete with other players to bet on the camel to be the first across the finish line. During the game camels will stack on one another, pyramids will get turned upside-down, and mayhem will surely ensue! Place your bets wisely and you could very well become rich beyond your wildest dreams!
