One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Privateer Press has some exciting news today as three brand new releases are now available on store shelves. Players and fans of the Iron Kingdoms RPG, High Command deck building game, and LEVEL 7 board game series are in for a treat. There’s something for each of you, and it’s nothing to shake a stick at!

Iron Kingdoms Monsternomicon

First up is the Monsternomicon for the Iron Kingdoms RPG. This book is a monster supplement based on the original, multiple-award-winning d20 Monsternomicon books. The book is compatible with the current version of Iron Kingdoms and will be compatible with the upcoming Iron Kingdoms Unleashed edition which is releasing next year. The Monsternomicon includes 40 monster entries and 37 creature templates that allow for the creation of thousands of different monster permutations.

LEVEL 7 [INVASION] is now available for all fans of the series. In this latest release players cooperate together along with the dreaded Dr. Cronos to fight off an alien invasion. The game is for 3-5 players, and takes players beyond the last entry in the series, LEVEL 7 [OMEGA PROTOCOL]. There’s been a lot of hype built up for this game, and so far the feedback has been pretty great.

High Command Faith and Fortune

Finally, for you High Command fans, Warmachine: High Command Faith & Fortune is now available. With this new expansion players can play as two different sects of the Mercenaries faction: the Four Star Syndicate and the Highborn Covenant. The Retribution of Scyrah and Convergence of Cyriss have also been added, filling out the full factions of the tabletop wargame. The expansion is available as a standalone game, though it can be added to the previous core game to expand your play for a bigger experience.

You can expect each of these releases to be on store shelves and the Privateer Press online store. I’m personally most excited about LEVEL 7 [INVASION]. A lot of the players in my area are talking good things about it, and from what I’ve seen the components and artwork are just as great as the original. At the same time, the Faith & Fortune expansion gives me a chance to play the Mercenaries, so I’m excited about it too! We’ll have a review for both LEVEL 7 [INVASION] and Warmachine: High Command Faith and Fortune soon, so stay tuned!
