A big announcement has surfaced from True Dungeon today, the company that hosts the largest RPG event at Gen Con each year. The company has just announced UpWorks, a new product line that will be releasing a different kind of tabletop terrain. A Kickstarter campaign is set to launch on September 30th, in hopes to raise funds for the product line.
Jeff Martin, True Dungeon’s Creator and previously President of Dwarven Forge, another company that has successfully ran Kickstarter projects for amazing tabletop terrain, has decided to take a new turn with his career to produce something new and unique. About the announcement Martin had this to say:
“I’m taking my passion and drive for making great fun for fantasy enthusiasts, and I am combining it with my extensive knowledge of making world-class miniature terrain. For the UpWorks project I’ve teamed up with Darryl Jones, the designer of several of Dwarven Forge’s most beloved limited edition sets, to create what fantasy fans have dreamt about for decades. UpWorks is a beautiful and elegant building system that lets gamers of all ages construct towers, keeps, and even castles. And since it is a modular system, you can make a different structure every day.”
Teaser photos of the terrain will be put up on the official UpWorks page in the coming days leading up to the Kickstarter launch. Once the Kickstarter page goes live we’ll be sure to add it to our projects page which we just launched through Kickstarter. With UpWorks, fantasy enthusiasts will have a fast and fun new way to build castles, towers, and keeps. The products are being built to last a lifetime, so your creations will stand the test of time. Check back once the Kickstarter goes live for more information and a first look at the UpWorks line!
