Some creative folks got together and created a world in which players can interact with the game and have direct influence in the future of that world. Those people are behind Storyception Games, the makers of a world called the Apocalypse Universe. About 540 years after the apocalypse, scientists who escaped the attack of Biomass, a genetic mutation that turns even the best of people into a twisted perversion of what they once were, have created platforms surrounding a planet called Gaia. This planet is believed to be the breeding ground of the second apocalypse, attracted those polluted by Biomass. On one of these platforms, CETUS-7, an arena was built. This arena took battles through space and was hidden for hundreds of years, but gained popularity once the Atomic Brotherhood took over. Some believe that while protected from the hostilities of the remaining races of the universe, that the happenings inside the arena are drastically affecting the world of all that lives, but only time will tell how it will.
Storyception Games has created this universe, and has 5 games planned right now for gamers to delve into. The first being Galactic Arena. In this game, you choose a hero and go head to head with 1-3 players for dominance of a Biomass polluted universe. Each of the 10 heroes have their own abilities and backstories that will affect the gameplay, giving it high re-playability and action. The people from Storyception Games are really excited to share this world with you, and I am anxious to see more about it!
“We are a team of creative professionals who want to give something back to the Sci-Fi community. We have designed the Apocalypse Universe and now we want to share it with others!” – Chris, Storyception Games
Check out the trailer video for this game on the Storyception Games website, and more details on Biomass and the Apocalypse Universes on it’s Prefundia page. The most epic of battles may be taking place in the Galactic Arena now, but the game’s description leads me to believe that this imminent second apocalypse will make the battles once protected from hostile enemies across the entire universe, and we might see some alliances in the future to protect the races of the universe from annihilation. Still want more? Check out the full game description on the publisher’s website! There is no date for the launch of this Kickstarter yet.
