Dungeon Saga: The Dwarf King’s Quest on Kickstarter from Mantic, Already Funded

Dungeon Saga

The legend that Mantic Games has created with their projects on Kickstarter continues with Dungeon Saga: The Dwarf King’s Quest. Funded in just 4 minutes, the Kickstarter campaign is now on to stretch goals for the next 27 days. A new dungeon adventure board game, Dungeon Saga looks exactly as what you’d expect from this miniature gaming giant: awesome.

Set in the Dwarfen Hold of Dolgarth, one player will take on the role of Mortibris and command the Undead in a battle against mighty heroes. These adventurers can be split between up to 4 players, or led by just one. You’ll use the simple rules to play through the game’s exciting scenarios, before eventually facing off against the Necromancer in a final showdown!

The campaign has earned nearly $135,000, which is about $85,000 more than the company asked for. From what Mantic has been showing of the project, however, the game looks worth it. It’s sort of a mix of Descent: Second Edition with Mantic’s sweet little touch.

I personally love the figures in the game, and with it coming from Mantic, how could you not? For a pledge of $100 you can get the full copy of Dungeon Saga, which will begin shipping around this time next year. I can’t stress enough how much I love the miniatures for this game. They look amazing, and with the campaign already hitting stretch goals, there are tons of extra models getting added to the campaign. Head on over to the Kickstarter page and check out Dungeon Saga. You won’t regret it.
