This week has blown by in a blur! We’re inching ever-closer to our move, which will come in stages. We’re at the one week mark from where we separate from our family and begin the wait to Gen Con. We’ll be in full-swing, and are putting things together as quickly as we can for the convention. We’re really excited and hope you will be too! Now, on to the announcements!
Announcements and Tidbits
- The first Force Pack in the Rogue Squadron cycle for Star Wars: the Card Game has been announced by Fantasy Flight. It’s called Ready for Takeoff, and it puts focus on battles that take place in space. You’ll see new ship cards, pilots, maneuvers, and more.
- Crown of Destiny, a new Hero and Monster Pack for Descent: Journeys in the Dark Second Edition is now available. If you want to add even more awesome miniatures to your Descent collection, you’ll need to pick this up.
- Speaking of miniatures, a Canadian-based company called Shapeit has a new Kickstarter campaign running for 3d printed miniatures. These aren’t your normal miniatures, though. You can take a selfie, shoot them a picture of a drawing, or even a special design and they’ll bring your miniature to life! The campaign has 26 days left and still needs quite a bit of funding, so check it out!
Around the Office
This week we’ve been putting a lot of energy tying up loose ends right before the first phase of our major move. I’ve been able to paint most of my Warmachine models (I acquired a few new Khador models for Gen Con), but we haven’t gotten many games to the table. We’ve enjoyed some Star Realms on both tabletop and Android, and we’re still working on our EDH decks (I’m currently focusing on Jhoira). In the next few weeks we’ll have more time to get games to the table, so our Quick News posts should be a little more in-depth. We’ll also be posting details for Gen Con goings-on, so be on the lookout!
