Hand Minted Fantasy Coins Nearly Funded On Kickstarter

hand minted fantasy coins

When I think of coinage being used by races we play in fantasy games, I honestly don’t think of pristine and perfect coins. I imagine them being hand-made, varying in stamp, thickness, being identified by their symbols and general size. Aaron Davis has launched a Kickstarter project for his hand-minted coins that reflect this same thought.

The coins somewhat mimic our quarter, nickel, and dime in size, though they are larger in diameter and have varying degrees of thickness. I see these and can see a strong-handed dwarf rolling these coins in his hands before slamming them down on a bar counter for some ale. Each pledge level on the Kickstarter gives you a certain number of coins, and even the ability to grab a cool little chest for your coins like in the photo above.

I think that these coins would be great for any RPG, LARP, coin collector, or someone just looking to decorate their game room or fantasy space. We should be posting a review for these coins within the next month, and it will be up before the Kickstarter ends on September 7th, so keep watching the site, or save this post, for an update with a link. Check out the project and detail photos of the coins and ask any questions you may have!
