Five Tribes Now Available for Pre-Order from Days of Wonder

Five Tribes

Days of Wonder has just announced that their upcoming game, Five Tribes, is now available for pre-order directly from their website. What’s special about this game is that Days of Wonder is calling it their first ever “gamer’s game”. Designed by Bruno Cathala, Five Tribes is set in the Arabian Nights-inspired city of Naqala. The city is home to five tribes: Assassins, Elders, Builders, Merchants, and Viziers.

During the game players will dispense the meeples representing the tribes across the tiles that make up the city. The game has many different ways to win, apparently, and players will need to conjure up a strategy to come out on top in the end. Players can compete for resources or even control over the city of Naqala in  order to ensure their way to victory.

The game looks like it’s got a lot packed inside the box, and since it’s Days of Wonder you can expect it to be quite colorful. From what I’ve seen the game reminds me somewhat of Lords of Waterdeep meets Terra Mystica. Definitely on the Euro side of things, Five Tribes should make a great addition to any player’s collection. If you want to learn more about the game or slap down a pre-order, head to the Days of Wonder site.
