One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Paizo Kicks Off Organized Play Program for Pathfinder Adventure Card Game [Gen Con 2014]

Pathfinder Card Game Box

Paizo has just announced the Pathfinder Society Adventure Card Guild (PFSACG), a new program dedicated to offering organized play for the smash-hit Pathfinder Adventure Card Game. At Gen Con 2014 this year the PFSACG will be making its debut, and players can get involved right at the convention. If you’re looking to get into some weekly organized games of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, your time is now.

The PFSACG will kick off with Season Zero, Season of the Shackles. During this season a brand new scenario and story will be provided each week to game stores all across the nation, and they will be available to event organizers and for home play. In order to participate players only need to provide the core game, and their preferred PACG Class Deck. Of course you could just use cards from the core set as well, but that’s up to player choosing.

During the Season of the Shackles players will fend off against pirates, denizens of the isles, gain new loot and spells, and learn secrets buried out in the deep. There will be tons of new story elements, loot and more for players to see. Those who also participate in the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild will also earn rewards that will carry over into the RPG. There’s plenty of reason to get involved!
