Things have been sort of hectic over at the Wyrd Games offices lately. The company has been subject to setbacks and delays which have seen product being pushed back past its street date. These things happen, and while the community understands, it looks like things aren’t brightening up in the short term. In the latest Wyrd newsletter the company reveals that they’re once again suffering delays, and some of the upcoming product releases will need to be pushed back further.
The newsletter states that Wyrd has experienced setbacks that they cannot control, but they’re working as hard as they can to mitigate the damages. It seems like their giant shrink wrap machine they use to wrap all of the miniatures boxes has gone kaput, and the company didn’t have the easiest time finding techs that could repair the machine. These things suck, but at least Wyrd is trying to stay on top of things to get the situation remedied as soon as possible.
In fact, the team has been working hard and pulling double shifts to ensure they can send out new releases as soon as possible. The company started shipping out what they could this past Monday, and they’ve been able to get most of their product out as promised. The street date for the products has been lifted, and everything is being treated as release upon receipt of product. Further out delivery dates have been shipped first to ensure that everyone receives their product on or about the same date.
On a lighter note, Wyrd has announced a brand new painting competition for the summer. Entitled Burnt Offerings, the contest is running from June 18th – July 18th. You can find out more about the contest on its official page, including rules. If you’re looking to show off your Malifaux credentials, this is the way to do it. Kudos to Wyrd for pulling through these delays and making sure to keep the community in the loop.
