Formerly a PC-exclusive gamer, Kae was introduced to the tabletop world by gateway of the World of Warcraft TCG. Since then, her interests have broadened with her favorite games including Battlestar Galactica, Pathfinder, Lord of the Rings LCG, WarmaHordes, and more. Kae is willing to try just about any game and loves learning new strategy.

Hello there, gamers! Its Friday and it has been somewhat eventful around the office. We’ve gotten a lot of games played lately, more games coming in, and many of them are in the process of having reviews recorded and written. What else is going on this week? Check it out :

Announcements and Releases

  • AEG posted rules for playing Valley of the Kings in a solo mode.
  • More previews of cards from Ascension : Realms Unraveled were posted to Facebook.
  • Between the Shadows, the next deluxe expansion for the Star Wars LCG, was announced this week by Fantasy Flight Games.
  • A Merchant & Marauders expansion? Yes please!
  • A new High Command core set, Faith and Fortune, introduces four new factions to the battle for Immoren.
  • If you are wanting to go to Gen Con, you should get involved with the naming contest for this year’s SunKing Brewery official GenCon beer!

Kickstarters You Should Know About

  • A snap-together game board for Catan Seafarers (as well as many other Catan accessories and goodies) is on Kickstarter now!
  • Munchkin Bricks is blowing through stretch goals left and right, check it out if you’re a Munchkin fan!

What We’re Playing

  • Magic: the Gathering (EDH format) saw a lot of table time this week. We also played a 2 player game of Glass Road, the epic resource management game.
  • Kae had the opportunity to teach her sister some games this week, and she definitely took advantage of it! Another game of Vikings happened, as well as Lords of Waterdeep with the Scoundrels of Skullport expansion. The best part? She whipped both Raine and Kae at both of them!
  • Hot Tin Roof also got to the table, and Kae is really excited about playing it again, being a crazy cat lady and all.
  • Thursday was Mail Day at the office! We received Epic Death, The Card Game of Oz, and Tomorrow from Game Salute.

Expect more reviews, some opinion pieces, and as usual, news about the tabletop gaming world this upcoming week.  We have more games hitting the table  and exciting things to share with you from the I:T office. Until next week, happy gaming!
