Monster Smash Is Coming to Smash Up In September

The new factions for Smash Up have been teased through various formats over the last few weeks. The official announcement of the new expansion, its factions, and the release date was made on the AEG website yesterday. The next set, called Monster Smash, includes Vampires, Giant Ants, Mad Scientists, and Werewolves!

The Vampires are dark and broody as you’d imagine, and draw their power from destroying other minions in game. Mad Scientists, and their creations, form monsters of inhuman strength to experiment their way to victory. The Giant Ants have mutated and plan to take over the world as they do in their natural state, but imagine the scale on which it will happen considering their size! And finally, the Werewolves gain strength quickly and plan to show their dominance in the Smash Up world.

Monster Smash will be releasing sometime in September. It will include a total of 80 Minion and Action cards, a set of VP tokens, a rulebook, and 8 new bases to fight over. I know that Raine is excited about the Werewolves especially, but I’m hoping to see some interesting Mad Scientist action, especially when combined with Zombies!
