Paizo has just announced their guest lineup for this year’s PaizoCon event. This annual celebration of all things Paizo, PaizoCon will be taking place during the weekend of July 4th-6th at the Seattle Airport Marriott hotel in Seattle, Washington. There will be plenty of events to enjoy, such as Pathfinder sessions, demos, model painting, and much more. With the convention coming up in just about a month the anticipation is about to pique, and now we know who will be in attendance this year.
Here are the Guests of Honor for PaizoCon 2014 as announced by Paizo themselves:
Guest of Honor: Legendary author and game designer Frank Mentzer. Mentzer is best known for his work on early materials for the Dungeons & Dragons RPG. Mentzer worked at TSR from 1980—1986 as Creative Advisor to the Chairman of the Board, Gary Gygax, and he founded the RPGA (Roleplaying Game Association). Mentzer has been closely involved with the world’s largest game auction at the Gen Con game convention since 1983, and is an expert on, and major collector of, roleplaying games and family board games. He’s currently producing “old-school” game accessories with Eldritch Enterprises, and recently contributed a dungeon level to Paizo’s massive Emerald Spire Superdungeon.
Artist Guest of Honor: Jesper Ejsing. Ejsing created the covers for Pathfinder Adventure Path: Legacy of Fire, and for the Pathfinder Module: Emerald Spire Superdungeon. Ejsing studied Danish literature and Art History before setting out on the life of a freelance artist.
