Dungeons & Dragons expands into its next part, called Tyranny of Dragons! This new set is being headed off by a new expansion in D&D’s MMO, Neverwinter. Wizards of the Coast announced the new campaign recently, including a new logo for the game to celebrate its 40th year. The Neverwinter module will release on August 14th, 2014.
Tiamat, the most feared dragon in the history of the game, will make appearances in new adventures including Hoard of the Dragon Queen (Aug 19) and The Rise of Tiamat (Oct 21). New player handbooks, Monster Manuals, and DM guides will come with this new set. Dungeons & Dragons has also completely re-done their logo, giving more detail to the traditional dragon ampersand, and tightening up other details in the logo and text itself.
Wizards of the Coast is teaming up with WizKids for minis for the Tyranny of Dragons, so a line of quality miniatures will be on its way for your gaming needs. The folks behind D&D are very excited about where this new campaign will take the game.
“This is the biggest and most exciting year for Dungeons & Dragons yet,” said Nathan Stewart, Dungeons & Dragons Brand Director. “We’re excited to see the last two years of intense collaboration with our trusted partners and dedicated fans finally come to fruition.”
