One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Dog Might Games Wants You to Design Your Own Deck Box

Dog Might Games Deckbox Kickstarter

Dog Might Games wants to help take your card gaming to the next level by designing your own sweet deck box. As a Magic: the Gathering player, I find myself carrying around several decks at once whenever I go to events. Most of the time I pick up deck boxes that can be found at nearly any FLGS, but every once in a while something catches my eye. If you’re a gamer that likes to customize your play mats and gaming accessories just like you customize your decks, this is something you’ll want to check out.

Dog Might Games has created some software that gamers can use to create their very own customized deck box for whatever card game they play. Using the software you can customize everything about the deck box, from the material it’s made out of, its fastener, the hinges, the handle, and much more. The software is very easy to use, and the possibilities are near endless. You can even get some sweet .66 magnum round studs to put right on your deck box of badassery!

Right now these deck boxes are available through a Kickstarter campaign that has about 11 days left to run. For $40 you can get an awesome handcrafted wooden deck box that will stand up to the elements, no matter what sort of spells you’re slinging. Make sure you check out the Kickstarter, and try the software out for yourself to get designing your one-of-a-kind deck box asap!
