Later this month a special gaming event is coming to Bloomington, Indiana. The Sigma Play Game Conference will be taking place on May 23rd and 24th, right at the Bloomington Convention Center. The event is being set up in hopes to bring members of all walks of the gaming industry together to host workshops, run panels, and answer questions from those who are looking at opening the doors to the gaming industry at large.
From the official Sigma Play website:
The goal of the Sigma Play conference is to bring together designers from the tabletop, board, card, folk, and video game categories to share their insights. This two day conference kicks off with a keynote by award-winning game designer Eric Zimmerman Friday night and continues through Saturday with a full docket of hands-on workshops. Workshop topics range from creating soundscapes to using deception in games to building a game developer support network in your community.
A whole list of presenters will be taking stage at the conference, including such names as Eric Zimmerman, Richard Gould, Mark Bell, and many more. A complete schedule of events for the two-day conference can be found on the official Sigma Play site. The event will kick off on Friday night and run through until Saturday night, and it will be packed full of all sorts of gaming goodness, including open gaming.
