Catalyst Game Labs has posted the first developer blog article for their upcoming boardgame, Shadowrun: Hostile Takeover. The post explains a bit of the details about what Hostile Takeover is, and how it will play out. According to the post, the board game will allow players to see things from the other side in Shadowrun, this time playing as the megacorporations pulling the strings.

Hostile Takeover will take place in Seattle in the 2070s. The map has been laid out, all of the megacorporations have been setup, and the plot is set. The game will involve tons of scheming, plotting, and action all for 3-6 players.

The post continues to talk about a few of the details of the design process. Hostile Takeover is set to include all of the crucial elements that make up a great board game. Players will find a true Shadowrun experience right out of the box, even though they’ll be on the other side of the net. Keep your eyes locked on the blog, as more will be posted soon!
