A Free RPG, Tavern Tales, Is Gaining Attention

Tavern Tales

On April 19th, Dabney Bailey released a free fantasy RPG called Tavern Tales loose on the internet for gamers to download and play. Through open communication between gamers and writer, tweaks have been made, and are continuing to be made, to make Tavern Tales a great game. In fact, polls are still open to vote for the next theme to be introduced into the game.

There are very thorough step-by-step chapter pages on how to get into Tavern Tales for both player and GM. Creating a character in Tavern Tales really allows the player to create a past for their character, from fighting style to motivation and more. The characters seem to be a bit more personal than some other RPG’s, which I think will really make TT stand out. The website includes items, a bestiary, ideas on how to get a game started, and so much more.

The Tavern Tales RPG website isn’t flashy by any means, but I think is easy to navigate, especially when you’re needing to quickly find some information for your game. A full PDF is available for download for easy transportation on your tablet or laptop. I’ve already been poking around on the site, and I can easily see myself making a character with traits from a Dragon theme! If you’re interested in a free RPG that is quickly gaining speed, I’d urge you to check out Tavern Tales!
