Cryptozoic Previews Capcom Street Fighter Deck Building Game

Street Fighter DBG

Cryptozoic has brought us many deck-building games in the past, all with both cooperative and competitive vibes. Lord of the Rings, DC, and more franchises have seen their likings on cards and brought fun to the table. The next to attract gamers everywhere is Capcom’s Street Fighter! A preview was recently posted to discuss what Street Fighter will bring to gamers, including some unique features.

The Street Fighter Deck-building game will follow the same mechanics as Cryptozoic’s other DBG’s, but with a few new surprises thrown in. Any fighters that are unused come your Stage Bosses that you must defeat, and they will come with Counter-attack and Ultra cards. You must buy your character’s Ultra card through the game, and you are the only player that can pick up these cards. When used, your fighter can release an epic counter-attack when you’re attacked and drop the Ultra.

Street Fighter DBG Ultra

Combat is the central focus of the Street Fighter DBG, as it should be. Prepare yourselves for plenty of Hadokens and the Shouryukens by checking out the rest of the new mechanics and card previews on Cryptozoic’s blog. They also discuss that there will be a Street Fighter Mash-up tournament with another similar DBG at Gen Con this year, so be watching for news about that as well! Are you prepared to enter the ring?
