About the Post

Author Information

One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Quick News April 4 – April 10

Initiative Tabletop Group

Welcome back to another edition of the Quick News, gamers! This past week has been a bit of a blur to me, to be honest, but we’ve still managed to get some announcements gathered for you all to see. This week has brought us some pretty awesome news, but the below announcements are only going to sweeten the deal. Let’s get to it!

Announcements and Releases

  • Fantasy Flight Games posted previews for both the TANTIVE IV and TIE Defender Expansion Packs for the X-Wing Miniatures Game, and both of them look phenomenal.
  • With another post from the same company, Netrunner fans get to see a preview of the Honor and Profit Deluxe Expansion for the game, which adds tons of toys for Jinteki and Criminals.

On Our Table

This week has been quite busy with us getting things ready to move, but we still managed to get some games on the table!

  • Jacob and Christina busted out Myth, which we also took part of. Beyond that the duo managed to get Malifaux, Venture Forth, Pandemic, and even Wonderland.
  • Raine and Kae played through Nightfall: Eastern Skies, Malifaux, and enjoyed a game of Myth with Jacob and Christina.

We’re still pushing forward and with the changes that have been made around the office I think we will be seeing a lot more content going up on the site in the coming weeks. We’ve got a lot of things planned, and with the added time we’ll have I think we can see some of our ideas finally come to fruition. I’ve edited a new video intro using our new logo, so we should see more video reviews as that’s what was holding things back. We’re looking forward to great things, and you should be too!
