WizKids and Asmodee Team Up For German Board Game Production

WizKids and Asmodee

When companies look to distribute their games internationally, they often turn to partnerships with other companies that have already had success in other parts of the world. WizKids has done just that, with an announcement at the end of March that they will be partnering with Asmodee to bring their games to Germany! WizKids, the leader in pre-painted minis, is happy to be bringing their games to the other side of the world.

Games that are set to see German translation include :

  • Mage Knight Board Game
  • Attack Wing: Dungeons & Dragons
  • Quarriors!
  • Star Trek: Attack Wing

WizKids president Justin Ziran says “We aim to replicate the successful growth and support we’ve experienced in Europe with our English language products and look forward to expanding our plans with Asmodee in the future…”. Asmodee’s Carol Rapp affirms this partnership by adding “We are very happy  to bring the quality games of WizKids to players in Germany and to enrich our product-line with very attractive games. We are looking forward to the cooperation with WizKids and the future developments”.

I’m sure that more games than those listed above will see German production, and I see this as being a good move for WizKids. German retailers should contact Asmodee for information on when these games will be made available! If you are in Germany, be on the look-out for your favorite translated games!
