Kickstarter For Nefertiti Overdrive Launched

If you’re a fan of wuxia action from the films we love, or the world of ancient Egypt, then this post is for you. The author of the Centurions : Legionaries of Rome RPG, Fraser Ronald, is back with a new pen and paper RPG set in the Egyptian world : Nefertiti Overdrive. This RPG isn’t strict to factual Egyptian history, but that which you’d gather from films, museums, and fictional comic settings. You want to fight guys at the base of the pyramids? Then this is your game.

The rules are meant to be light to focus on character development, and the finished product will contain 110-130 pages, and come in a 6″x9″ softcover book. Reward levels range from PDF downloads of the game, codes to purchase the physical copy, physical copies, and more! While you can make your own characters, the book will come with 7 pre-generated characters for players that want to jump right in, or for those unfamiliar with character building. GM’s can use the tools in the book to create their own campaigns, but two detailed storylines will come with the core book.

Ronald is hoping to raise $5,000 (CAD) to make this game a reality, and over 80 backers have already given him their support. The project ends on April 21st, so there’s still time to ask questions you may have and get into it! Samples of the art and examples of the cover options are available on the funding page now if you’re interested, as well as more in-depth descriptions of the classes you can find yourself in!
