Plenty of gaming goes down at Gen Con each year, and attendees are more than satisfied with spending four days in a game coma with images of numbers, dice, and meeple dancing in their heads. There are some, however, who travel to Indianapolis each year for one amazing experience – True Dungeon. We’ve talked a bit about True Dungeon several times here on the site, and it’s well worth reading about.
True Dungeon is a floor-to-ceiling dungeon experience set up in the halls of Gen Con each year. Created by Jeff Martin, True Dungeon puts players to the test as they solve puzzles, face fierce monsters, and try to stick together through an enduring story that changes each year. As Gen Con’s attendance grows each year, so does True Dungeon, and that’s why it will be moving to a new location.
In a newsletter sent out by the company, adventurers were notified that True Dungeon would be moving its halls to a new location this year. Don’t fret, though, the event is still staying in the Indianapolis Convention Center. Honestly they’re not moving too far – just next door to Exhibit Hall A. Since the convention is growing larger, this move means they’ll have the entire convention space in use to make sure everyone has a great time at the con.
When it comes to details on this year’s True Dungeon event, it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit. An announcement is promised to come soon to satiate the cravings of True Dungeon fans. Tokens, however, are a different story. The 2014 True Dungeon token collection has been revealed, and players can check out each and every token on the True Dungeon website. Now would be a great time to plan for your setup this year. True Dungeon is only 5 months away!
