One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Studio 2 Publishing Posts Shadows of Esteren: Monastery of Tuath on Kickstarter

Shadows of Esteren Monastery of Tuath Limited Edition

Following a very successful Kickstarter campaign, Studio 2 Publishing is heading back to the site to bring players a brand new supplement in the Shadows of Esteren RPG line. This new supplement, Monastery of Tuath, offers players tons of new content to explore in Shadows of Esteren’s darkened world. The winner of three different ENnie Awards last year, Shadows of Esteren is most certainly worth checking out.

Shadows of Esteren is a relatively low-fantasy medieval role-playing game that adapts horrific and gothic influences. The game draws upon Celtic myths and provides a universe that hides a fantastic face hidden underneath a darkened, bleak surface. The world is populated by humans who must struggle through their daily lives while confronting a supernatural threat staged in the darkness.

Veterans of the game will be happy to see the new Monastery of Tuath supplement, featuring a Limited Edition with a handful of additional content that will be financed through the current Kickstarter campaign. The new supplement will add hours of gameplay, offering all sorts of content to add to your SoE games. If you’re new to Shadows of Esteren, however, have no fear. This campaign has pledge levels designed to help get new players right into the game with everything they need.

The Monastery of Tuath is the fourth book in the Shadows of Esteren series, and it’s focused on the Temple faction. The book features an investigation scenario inspired by The Name of the Rose. The Limited Edition of the book includes all sorts of game aids, and a sweet-looking miniature for use in the game. Make sure you check out the campaign, and get in on the greatness. It’s already funded, so now it’ll just be busting through stretch goals!
