One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Asmodee Posts February and March Releases

Asmodee Logo

Asmodee has just published their newsletter, and in it we get to see a few products that will be releasing in the February-March time frame.  The newsletter also mentioned the contest to win the Takenoko Collector’s Edition, where people who visit the Asmodee booth at the toy fair have a chance to win this sweet copy of the game by simply filling out an entry form. If you’re visiting the Toy Fair 2014, don’t miss out on this opportunity!

Continental Express

First up for the product releases is Continental Express. Players are employees of the Continental Express railroad company and are in charge of the constant plethora of train cars at the station. Players much complete each train in time for it to leave the station. You’re not alone, however, as rival players want the same cars as you and things can get pretty hairy in record time!

Next is Koryo. This new card game sees players trying to control a majority and hold sway over the factions of Koryo. This card game requires fast decisions, and offers a strategic play scheme of politics and betrayal. Can you outwit your rivals and come out on top?

Formula D Jersey Sochi

A new Formula D track is coming, and it’s the New Jersey/Sochi track. Fly around the track of the Sochi Olympic Village in Russia inside of your awesome Formula One racer. If you’d rather hit the underground circuit, swap out to your NOS-powered tuner car and crash the streets of New Jersey, cruising along the Hudson River. Either way, you’ll be burning dust.

World of Tanks RUSH

Finally, in a bit of a surprise, comes World of Tanks: RUSH. This card game is based off of the popular free-to-play MMO computer game. Players will start with a simple set of barracks cards and race to build the best deck of tanks and armored vehicles. Tanks offer abilities to manipulate the field to your advantage, so send them to the front lines to help ensure victory.

I’m definitely stoked for the new Formula D track, and Koryo certainly looks like fun. I’m not too sure about World of Tanks, but I am sure fans of the MMO would enjoy bringing the game to the table in some form. All of these games will be available between later this month and early next month. Which ones are you looking forward to?
