One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Deep-Cut Studio Partners with PWork Wargame to Produce New Miniatures Game Play Mats

City Ruins Battle Mat Deep-Cut Studio

It’s a great day for miniature games news, as we just received an announcement from Deep-Cut Studio. The company has joined forces with PWork Wargame to produce a brand new line of miniature games mats. The mats offered will be City Ruins and Badlands, and will be the same great quality you expect from Deep-Cut.

PWorks Wargame offers a range of paper print-and-cut battle boards for miniature games, and these boards will now be available as PVC mats. The mats will come in the standard 4’x6’ size, and include high-quality prints on premium class PVC. Both companies plan to offer a wide range of different mats, but the first two styles will be the City Ruins and Badlands.

The mats are now available, and you can pick them up from either PWork or Deep-Cut Studio via their websites. Each mat retails for £39.90 ($66), which isn’t bad for the quality. These mats are perfect for playing a multitude of miniature games, and can make setup a breeze. Not to mention they look totally awesome, so don’t miss out on them.
