Spartan Games Previews February 2014 Releases

Spartan Games Logo

Spartan Games has already rung in the new year with style. They’ve not only revamped the Firestorm Armada line, but they’ve just announced their February releases for both the tactical space game and Dystopian Wars. Players of both games will be happy to see some fresh content, and Spartan has their warp drives spinning at full tilt.

Starting with a favorite of mine, Firestorm Armada, each of the factions in the game will see brand new Battlecruiser Squadron and a set of Battlefield Objectives. Each of the squadrons will include 2 Battlecruisers that can be assembled right out of the box. As for the Battlefield Objectives, you’ll get 8 hexagonal 30mm objectives and a deck of 30 Game Event cards. Each of the Battlecruiser Squadrons will run $35 while the Battlefield Objectives will retail at $19. You can see a bit more about each of the sets below:

Finally we come to Dystopian Wars. The game will finally see the introduction of the Honorable Eclipse Company and its own set of Battlefield Objectives. The Eclipse Company comes to the game with both an aerial ground battlegroup, and each offers their own different support role. The Battlefield Objectives act in much the same way as the ones for Firestorm Armada, and even comes packaged the same way. The aerial Eclipse Company group will run $75 while its ground unit will come in at $47. As with the Firestorm Objectives, Dystopian Wars Battlefield Objectives will also run $19.
