One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Privateer Press Releases No Quarter Armory Compilation

When playing a game of Warmachine or Hordes, there’s a lot of things you’ll need to have with you. Of course you’ll need your models, but you’ll also need dice, a tape measure, tokens of different kinds, and templates. Some models have attacks that put down clouds, AOE (area of effect) markers, walls, and more. It always helps to have templates on hand to show these effects on the battlefield.

The Warmachine Prime MKII and Hordes Primal MKII rulebooks come with some paper templates in the back, though they’re mainly for spray attacks and AOEs. You’ll still need some depending on the faction and models you play, though, so you’ll still have need. Luckily Privateer Press understands this need, which is why they’ve released the No Quarter Armory Compilation.

No Quarter Armory Compilation

The No Quarter Armory Compilation puts together all sorts of graphical representations of many common in-game spells and effects. These representations are templates for things like stone walls, fire walls, rolling fog, burning ash, and much more. Not only do the templates look awesome, but they are legal in official Steamroller, Hardcore, Masters, or Iron Gauntlet events! The compilation is free to download, so make sure you grab a copy before your next game!
