Lord of the Rings Card Game Organized Play Game Nights

Season one of the 2014 Organized Play Game Nights from Fantasy Flight will be seeing your local game store soon! Beginning in March of 2014, you can adventure through Middle Earth with your friends or make new ones as you fight Sauron’s forces for the freedom of all its’ peoples. Game night kits bring new encounters to old decks, and the community it hopes to build will make every game enjoyable as the story expands.

The new Nightmare decks that come with the kits will change the story into a more difficult encounter, making you and your comrads have to rely on tactics and swiftness. These are printed  In-House, and may differ from other cards and should be sleeved as to not easily identify the new cards. The game night kits contain everything needed to run an event, and they include :

  • Three Nightmare Decks reintroduce you to past adventures – We Must Away Ere Break of Day, Over the Misty Mountains Grim, and Dungeons Deep and Caverns Dim – with greater difficulties than ever before
  • One exclusive playmat for your adventures, depicting warriors of Gondor outside the walls of Minas Tirith
  • A promotional poster showing Boromir ready for battle
  • One informational sheet on running a game night

Make sure to ask your local game store if they are hosting one of these nights, and get together other LotR card game fans to start the new year off right. The last day to order these kits is January 17th, so remind them if they’ve not already informed you of the events! Information on ordering game night kits is through a link on the announcement page.
