A lover of all games, some of his favorites include Pathfinder, Battlestar Galactica, Magic: the Gathering, D&D Attack Wing, Regnum Angelica, and Warmachine/Hordes. Privateer Press Previews 1/06/14

Privateer Press’ Holiday Sale is still going on through this new year, and the company is backing it up with new previews for both Warmachine and Hordes. So far we’ve seen three previews, and one of them is a returning favorite that’s making the move to plastic from white metal. Take a look below to see what’s coming to the game:

 Raluk Moorclaw, the Ironmonger

Raluk Moorclaw

Raluk is an experienced mechanik who can fix even the most complex machines with ease, but his heart lies on the battlefield. His appetite for violence has led him to adopt the life of a mercenary, where he puts his talents to work commanding and maintaining warjacks. Bringing his axe to battle, he’s both a formidable opponent and powerful ally.

Moving to plastic from white metal, Mechanithralls are now available in one box set. These units are assembled from a macabre fusion of corpses and machinery found on the battlefield, and they fill the frontmost ranks of the Cryxian army. Their bodies are reanimated and augmented with powerful gauntlets that are fueled by dark energies and steam pressure. This new set replaces what’s existing, and the older set will no longer be available.

 Elimination Servitors

Elimination Servitors

The prime directive of an elimination servitor is to hunt down and terminate any and all it does not recognize as an ally. Once it has taken a target, an elimination servitor makes a series of precise movements to track down its prey and introduce a spike projecter with haste. The spikes make this unit particularly effective against infantry, and the Convergence uses them well.

I’m on board with Privateer Press re-releasing older models in plastic. It seems that a lot of miniature companies are making the move, and it’s working out for both players and retailers. These new previews are sure to be just the beginning of what’s to come this year, so stay tuned!
