Initiative : Tabletop Celebrates Our First Birthday Today

On December 5th, 2012, a handful of gamers had an idea to start a website to share news and their thoughts on tabletop; to voice their opinions about what is going on in the world of gaming, and reach out to the community. One year ago today, Initiative : Tabletop was born. We decided to test the waters and see where this project would lead us, and it soon became an active digital resource.

We set out goals that we hoped to attain by the end of the first year, and were overwhelmed with the community and gaming companies’ support as we achieved these goals within the first 4 months of operation. That being said, we want to shout out a huge THANK YOU to all of our readers, the companies that have entrusted us to review their products, and all of our supporters. Sharing our links across social media has helped us reach corners of the gaming world that we never thought we’d reach.

What started as a project among 4 friends has grown to a group of 7, and are still growing. We’ve been honored with great people chiming in with their thoughts on games in the form of opinion posts and reviews, as their words enable us to reach even more people. This first year has been an incredible journey, and we here at I:T cannot wait to see what year 2 has in store for us!

Our podcast, Ain’t That Some Crit?, will be returning at the beginning of 2014, and we hope to start having some guests join us, as well as continuing to experiment with our videos and content. We love hearing from the gaming community, and want to know your feedback on how we are doing and what you’d like to see. Please comment here, email us, tweet us, whichever method you wish you contact us, we want to hear it!

As always, may the dice roll in your favor!
