EverWrought – The Perils of Promise Up on Kickstarter

I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs for years. With the addition of Kickstarter we’ve seen more RPGs hit the gaming community thicker than ever before. Some great games – like Shadows of Esteren – have come from Kickstarter, and Tall Tale Studios hopes to have the next big hit. That’s why they’ve introduced EverWrought – The Perils of Promise.

At its core, EverWrought is a campaign setting that can be used with Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Dungeon World, and as an original system for those who don’t have/want to use a current one. The game includes everything you’ll need to play in the box, such as maps, books, and miniatures, so you can get started immediately.

Of course that all looks great, but what is EverWrought about exactly? Set on the swampy refuge of Promise, EverWrought tells the story of a world in peril. The dead have risen and are plotting something vile, and Promise is caught in the wave. Players will take the role of heroes as they fight to defend Promise from the peril it’s going to undoubtedly face. Enemies such as swamp dryads, skeletons, zombies, and more will await players if they decided to set foot on the one piece of dry land that’s claimed the souls of seafarers for years.

If you’re curious, here’s what comes in the core box set:

– The Adventure Book
– 3 Double-Sided Maps
– Ten Total Minis:
– 1 NPC Thief Mini
– 1 NPC Dwarf Mini
– 1 NPC Necromancer Mini
– 1 Swamp Demon (Development Name)
– 2 Swamp Elementals
– 2 Zombie Minis
– 2 Skeleton Minis

There are many different reward levels available, and Tall Tale already has add-ons set up for players. The campaign has about a month to go now, and they’re just getting started. The campaign still needs plenty of funding, so make sure you get over to check it out. The models look great, and the concept is definitely something worth digging into.

Tall Tale is ready to support its players, so they’ve included a lot of extras in the game’s book for those savvy gamers. You will find directions for things to make your games more interesting as well as instructions on how to print your own miniatures based off of the ones included in the game using a 3D printer! Terror is coming to Promise. Do you have what it takes to become the hero the people need?
