One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Tabletop Workshop Offering Pre-Orders for New Castle Kit

Tabletop Workshop Castle Kit

Tabletop Workshop, a 28mm plastic buildings manufacturer based out of the UK, has just announced a brand new project. Their new 28mm Castle Kit is available for pre-order from their site in three different versions. With the success of their Cottage and Chapel, the company is ready to whip out the big guns and get a bigger project on the table for wargamers everywhere.

From an announcement by the company:

After the initial success of its 28mm Medieval Chapel and Cottage, Tabletop Workshop would like to announce its next project will be a highly detailed 28mm Castle Kit. This is a massive piece of kit and contains a selection of walls, towers and a gatehouse. As you’d expect from us, these are highly detailed inside and out.

Players can look forward to getting the castle early next year, and while you wait you can get a pre-order in for it at a heavily reduced price. As pre-orders come in, stretch goals will be met for every 25 sales made. The pre-orders are limited, and are only available until the end of 2013.

For more information on the Castle Kit and the Tabletop Workship promotion, head over to their official site. These guys do great work, and as always you can expect a high attention to detail. If you haven’t already checked out their Cottage and Chapel, do yourself a favor and get on it! Pick up some terrain for the wargamer in your circle for the holiday!
