MAGE Company Re-Launches The Amityville Project : Phobos on Kickstarter

Back in September, we told you about a horror filled board game in which you take on a personality of an investigator at the Amityville Asylum. Sadly, two days after our post, the project was cancelled, but with good reason. The folks at MAGE Company worked out a new deal with the factory that they were getting their miniatures though, but changing the project to reflect these changes for the better wasn’t an option, so it had to be cancelled and then re-launched.

The Amityville Project : Phobos was re-launched on November 11th, and is already more than halfway towards funded. A total of 80 miniatures will now come with the game, with additional ones as promos for certain pledge levels. This 30 minute game of terror and hand management set in the lovecraftian world will only get better as stretch goals are unlocked, and more monstrous fears will make appearances.

MAGE Company has a backstory leading up to Phobos on their website for those wanting more information as to what the game is all about, though playing will also give you a sense of what is really going on. Having played an early version of the game, I feel that Phobos is going to be a big hit in the gaming community. It is quick, requires a lot of thought, and has been intriguing since its early stages. The new Kickstarter page has photos, the promise of rules being posted soon, pledge information and so much more. If you like horror games, you most certainly need to see what The Amityville Project : Phobos is all about.
