Privateer Press Warmachine Previews 11/08/13

Warmachine Logo

Privateer Press has just released some new Warmachine previews this week. The company is continuing to push forward with releases for both Retribution of Scyrah and Convergence of Cyriss, though we get to see something special this week: a previously limited-edition sculpt of The Butcher.  It looks like there will be new warcasters all around, so let’s take a look!

First up we have Orsus Zoktavir, The Butcher Unleashed:

The Butcher Unleashed

Orsus Zoktavir is a behemoth on the battlefield. He’s practically a living legend, as he’s earned his own place among nearly mythical heroes from the frozen wastes of the north. Accompanied by his two trusty war argus’, Orsus charges into battle with a savagery like none have seen before. He’ll retail for $65, and is made of white metal.

Up next is Issyria, Sibyl of Dawn:

Issyria

First of all, I want to comment on how awesome this sculpt is. I really like the way Privateer Press is going with making these models have more dynamic poses. Issyria has become one of the most important assets of House Nyarr. She holds immense arcane ability and much talent when it comes to magical prowess. She is able to use her myrmidons to their fullest ability, making her a dangerous tactician on the battlefield.

Then we have Iron Mother Directrix and Exponent Servitors:

Iron Mother Directrix

Leading the Convergence with unfathomable intelligence, Iron Mother Directrix wields the entire military might of the faction. Thinking with an iron will, Directrix, while not wishing to sacrifice her own troops or shed blood unnecessarily, has no problem with doing whatever it takes to show the true might of the Convergence. She also looks really badass.

Finally we have the Transverse Enumerator:

Transferse Enumerator

This solo for Convergence encompasses the faction’s true faith toward the Great Work. These senior priests use their superior faith and strategic thinking help adjust a unit’s tactics on the fly. In the heat of battle these skilled solos can help orchestrate attacks of clockwork units with precision unmatched.

These upcoming releases will help bolster your armies and possibly even lead them in new directions. With new warcasters on the way we’ll get to see some brand new tactics coming from both of the new Warmachine factions. Some players seemed to be upset with The Butcher’s release, as he was supposed to be limited release, but I’m happy to have him available. The price point is a bit high, but it will definitely be worth it! Of these releases, which one tickles your war fancy?
