Survival Tested in Dead of Winter : A Crossroads Game

Taking place in the winter of an apocalyptic world, you and your fellow gamers will be put to the test both physically and psychologically to survive the harsh weather and overcome crisis after crisis. In Dead of Winter : A Crossroads Game, the first game in a series by Isaac Vega and Jon Gilmour, 3-5 players take on the role of leaders of various colonies of the last of humanity. The rest of your race has died off from or is suffering disease, or have become zombie-esque horrors.

Dead of Winter is a meta-cooperative game and will require flexibility from all players. Each player will have a secret objective that they try and accomplish, and these can drastically change the outcome of the game. Some objectives may go by unknown to the rest of the colonies, help theirs and/or another colony, put their colony in harm’s way, or wipe out their own. The group is working towards a common goal as well, so your personal objectives may help that goal or sabotage it.

Finding food, keeping the colonies safe, and keeping the morale of the last of humanity up is a constant uphill battle, can you lead in these life-or-death moments? Dead of Winter : A Crossroads Game will be available for pre-order soon on the PHG store, and can get not only $20 off MSRP but a Kodiak Colby Survivor player to add in to the game! There is no release date yet, but I am very interested in this game. A zombie-world game that is more focused on the survivors is something that really grabs my attention, what about you?
