Almost anyone in the gaming community has heard of Tom Vasel and many have probably seen his reviews on Youtube with the Dice Tower. Back in 2011 Tom and his wife had lost their very young son Jack Vasel. The gaming community rallied behind Tom and helped Tom and his family during their time of need. Since then Tom has continued his son’s legacy by running the Jack Vasel Memorial Fund (JVMF).
The JVMF’s biggest event is the annual game auction ran through Board Game Geek. Different people will donate games or game related items that are bid on. All the proceeds go to the JVMF. The JVMF is designed to help gamers during personal hardships. This a great cause and there are several items on the auction block with more being added every day.
The auction is live now and runs until November 25th. There are a lot of unique items being donated by individuals and companies. Keep in mind this isn’t about getting the best deal but about helping the gaming community and those who need help during personal hardships.
