Deluxe Version of CALL OF CATTHULHU is on Kickstarter

At Gen Con 2013, Joel Sparks introduced a new RPG game in which you take on the role of a Cat Hero, battling the forces of the Chaos Cults to prevent the other Animal Gods from taking over the world, unbeknownst to the human race. This game is none other than Call of Catthulhu. (I know, I took a double take when I read it, too). But, I am obsessed with like cats, so the game certainly piqued my interest.

This Kickstarter was set up to expand upon the game in its original form to bring more content, add more dice, and support more adventures for the game. The game master (or Cat Herder) is given a lot of freedom to shape the adventures as they so choose, but they need your help to get it off the ground. Stretch goals include  The Book of Dogs (oh no!), a Boxed Set, and “something VERY FLUFFY”. I don’t know about you, but I like fluffy things, so I hope they get there.

A minimum pledge of $20 gets you a physical copy of the book to play with your friends. Larger pledges include cat dice, custom cat figurines painted in the likeness of your own cats, PDF’s, sketches, and more. Your cat can even be included as a character or illustration within the book’s pages, so there is a lot of backer involvement with this one! Call of Catthulhu has already reached twice its funding goal, but there are so many more stretch goals to open up. Funding ends on December 2nd, so get your pledge in, your cats will thank you for it!
