One of Raine's biggest hobbies has always been gaming. It all started with an Atari and spread out to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: the Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons. As an artist, Raine takes pride in painting models for games as well as making his own terrain. He's also been a writer for many years, working both in the journalism industry and writing pieces of fiction. He decided to create Initiative : Tabletop as a platform to talk about all things gaming that he simply thought were cool, and reviewing games became a part of it!

Privateer Press Reveals Kingmaker Tournament Prize for November

Kingmaker Tournament

Both Warmachine and Hordes High Command are out on retail shelves now, and players have had plenty of time to get acquainted with the game. Privateer Press is staying true to their word from Gen Con this past year and is bolstering support for the game’s organized play schedule. High Command’s style of organized play comes through in events called Kingmaker Tournaments, and by participating players can pick up some great prizes.

Kingmaker Tournaments usually consist of swiss rounds where players will either fight head-to-head, or take part in free-for-all matches. Players will have to construct their own decks to bring to the event, and should bring some extra sleeves matching the ones their deck is sleeved in, if any at all. There are full tournament rules that can be downloaded right from the Privateer Press site.

For each tournament Privateer Press offers prize support, which is part of the reason to come out and play. They’ve just announced the prize for November, and it’s awesome:

Kreoss Alternate Art High Command

That’s an alternate art High Exemplar Kreoss promo card! It’s the first time I’ve ever seen Kreoss without his helmet, and it’s definitely interesting. As a backseat Protectorate player, it’s really cool to see this art. Those players who take the top rank during November Kingmaker Tournaments will walk out with this sweet card, so make sure to tell your local game store to grab the prize support kit from Privateer Press while supplies last!
